We hope to see you on Thursday, November 15 from 16 on for drinks, snacks, and good company. In the the mix of things, we’ll also have some super entertainments: choir leader and teacher Jon Hollesen will tell us why we sing; authors Kristina Nya Glaffey and Maja Lee Langvad will read from their translation of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas’s love notes; Kirsten Juul Nielsen will read from her yet unpublished collection of poetry and historian Dave Struthers will discuss his forthcoming book, The World in a City: Multiethnic Radicalism in Early Twentieth Century Los Angeles (University of Illinois Press, 2019). Friends, partners, and kids welcome. Hope to see you then!
